"Over the years, I've enjoyed seeing my students develop both musically and personally - and how they’ve developed their own musical styles!"

"I studied music at the University of Minnesota at Morris, MacPhail Center for the Performing Arts, and was blessed to study piano under Vladimir Levitski the pianist for the Minnesota Orchestra."

"In addition to in-person and virtual individual lessons I also teach group piano courses."

About Accent Note Studio...

MISSION
MUSIC SHOULD BE FUN

The mission of Accent Note Studio is to make learning music and piano a fun experience as well as an artistic and academic endeavor.

A fun experience because students get the most out of learning when they enjoy it, and an artistic and academic endeavor because students learn many fundamental music and piano skills, including:

  • Melody

  • Harmony

  • Rhythm

  • Music notation

  • Sight reading

  • Chords and scales

  • Ear training

  • Piano technique

  • Music theory

  • Music composition and improvisation

IN-PERSON LESSONS

Lessons are in-person and taught one-on-one or in a group setting.

LIVE VIRTUAL LESSONS

Lessons are conducted live using videoconferencing technology, very similar to in-person lessons. With Linette’s many years of experience she’s able to effectively instruct students. Students use their own piano which reduces adjusting to a different instrument for lessons versus practice. And when teaching kids, parents can choose to participate, taking an active role in their child’s musical studies.

VIRTUAL RECITALS - optional

Virtual recitals have proven to be a real joy! Students are able to perform for a live audience from the comfort of their own home. Friends and family living near or far can attend the recitals as well - people truly love this option!

There are two recitals during the year, the first is at Christmas-time and the second is in the Spring.

GROUP LESSONS

Students meet in small groups to learn to play piano, do fun activities, and perform for each other in a relaxed setting. Students love this outside-the-box approach to learning music!
